Castlevania: Rondo of Blood is, like its predecessors in the series, an action platformer. Richter is trying to reach the end of each stage, defeating evil creatures on the way with his whip and traditional sub-weapons (throwing axes, daggers, holy crosses, etc.). He can also perform powerful 'item crash' attacks with his sub-weapons. Rondo of Blood for PC is an emulator with an ISO attached to it. It's just emulation. It's using PC hardware to try and perfectly emulate the PC-Engine SuperCD-ROM2 hardware architecture, through software. The ISO has never been 'ported'. You can call it whatever, but you would be wrong. Castlevania: Rondo of Blood is a platform-adventure video game developed by Konami for the PC Engine's Super CD-ROM System directed by Toru Hagihara. It is set in the fictional universe of the Castlevania series, where the protagonist Richter Belmont goes to save his lover Annette, who was abducted by Dracula. Easily the best of the straight Castlevania games though. It links pretty heavily into Symphony of the Night (both games are are part of the Dracula X storyline) as well. Note: This is an unofficial translation, separate from the Dracula X Chronicles localization. The 'Castlevania: Rondo of Blood' title screen also looks seriously damn snappy, like possibly even better than the actual Japanese ROB logo. There's a prepackaged injection floating around- one of the ORANGECHICKEN releases, IIRC. However the credits have not made it into this release of the patch (if ever) so in order to compensate for this inconvenience we have included the translation for the credits in the readme. I find pixel and scanline settings of -8.0 and -12.0 respectively do the job for me.I'd love to share a screenshot but traveling at the moment. The pre-patched bin/cue ROM I found seemed to be an older patch version as the title screen and stage names were untranslated. The only text I remember in the game was the intro which was in...
